FILMING AND PHOTOSHOOTS
St Mary Magdalene offers a unique film, photo-shoot and photography location in central London at a competitive price. Our location along the Grand Union Canal offers a quiet location free from the background of London’s noise pollution.
St Mary Magdalene has been in multiple films and dramas in her time, but since the completion of our restoration project in 2019 we are taking less feature film bookings and focusing on our own cultural and community programming. We are not available for long-term TV dramas or films, unless by special agreement.
We work with the film, television and radio, magazine and advertising industries. Whether you are seeking period features or simply looking for new and unique location in London, we welcome enquiries for low impact, short-run film shoots including:

NAVE
The main space is the Nave of St Mary Magdalene Church and is perfect for concerts, comedy, spoken word, dance events, filming and photo-shoots.

UNDERCROFT
The Undercroft is the atmospheric crypt of St Mary Magdalene Church and is perfect for small concerts, comedy, spoken word, book launches, exhibitions, interviews, receptions, filming and photo-shoots.
The Undercroft offers seating for up to 100 guests. The space has restricted sightlines due to the pillars but with creative staging and lighting is transformed in one of the most unique performance spaces in London.

STUDIO
A modern, bright room overlooking the Grand Union Canal, the Studio is ideal for workshops, meetings, and team away days. The room has built in AV and seats up to 30 people in a Boardroom or Classroom set-up.
The Studio also serves as a Green Room for music events in the Nave.
NEST
A modern, intimate room perfect for counselling, small meetings or tutoring. Seats up to 6 people.
The Nest also serves as a small dressing room for music events in the Nave or Undercroft.
Be enchanted by our spectacular venue and award‑winning catering
Our meeting rooms are available for hire from 9:30am to 5pm Monday – Friday. Access from 9.00am, typically the room must be completely cleared by 5:30pm.
Spaces are available for evening hire and performances from 6pm to 11pm.
Catering is available from our in-house caterers.
All our spaces and facilities are wheelchair accessible via our lift in the modern annex. Please inform us in advance if you have special requirements.
