VENUE & ROOM HIRE

Grand Junction at St Mary Magdalene’s is the perfect setting for your event with the ability to host 250 guests for a seated meal or 400 for a standing reception. Located a ten-minute walk from Paddington station, our Grade 1 listed building boasts an ornate ceiling and stained glass windows that are some of the finest examples of Gothic revival architecture in the country. We are experienced in hosting a wide range of events in our flexible spaces, working with clients to ensure everything runs smoothly.

THE NAVE

Our Nave makes a powerful backdrop for larger events. The ornate stonework, stained glass, and tiled floor make it one of the most unique spaces in London. With flexible seating there is huge versatility in how the space can be used.

  • Capacity: 350 seated theatre style, 250 seated for dinner, 400 standing.
  • The Nave is suitable for wedding receptions, parties, conferences, fashion shows, concerts and more.

THE UNDERCROFT

The Undercroft is the crypt of St Mary Magdalene’s Church. Its striking brickwork and vaulted ceiling make it an atmospheric setting for evening and daytime events. Tucked next to the Undercroft is the remarkable Chapel of St Sepulchre by Ninian Comper – over the years the chapel has been a favourite of film-makers, from ‘Les Miserables’ to ‘St Trinians’.

  • Capacity: 100 seated, 180 standing (please note the pillars cause restricted sightlines in some configurations)
  • The Undercroft is perfect for larger board meetings and AGMS, book launches, exhibitions, receptions, filming and photoshoots.

THE STUDIO

Located in the modern extension, also known as ‘Grand Junction’, the Studio is bright and airy with views over the green spaces and canal.

  • Capacity: Up to 30 theatre style, or 20 for meetings & classrooms.
  • The Studio can accommodate small board meetings, away days, training sessions, workshops, and classes.

  • The Nest

THE NEST

The nest is our small meeting room space in the modern extension.

  • Capacity: Up to 10 people for meetings.
  • The Nest is used for small meetings, counselling, or tutoring.

Our spaces are available for hire Monday – Saturday. Evening and weekend hires may incur a small surcharge.

All our spaces and facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please feel free to contact us to discuss any access requirements.

We have a cafe on site that is open from 9am - 4pm. If you wish to place a large order with the café for lunch or refreshments at your event please let us know in advance.
