COMFORT & COURAGE STREAMING FAQS

 

Please read the details below about how streaming will work during the Comfort & Courage season. If you have a further question, or have a problem with your email or link, you can contact us here:

How does a stream work?

You will be emailed a link to access the stream. All Comfort & Courage streams are hosted on Vimeo. Once you click on the link, you will be taken to a Vimeo page where you can watch the show.

How and when will I receive my link?

You will be emailed your link to the address that you gave when booking.

You will be emailed your link by 12 midday on the day of the performance.

If you book after that point you will receive your link as soon as you book, as part of your order confirmation email.

In the rare event that you do not receive your link email, please check your junk folder. If it is not in junk, please contact us at tickets@grandjunction.org.uk 

Watching the live stream:

The stream will go live at the time stated on the website when you booked, and on your ticket.

When you follow the link, you will see a holding card with the title of the show on it. Hold on, the show is coming soon!

Please note the time zone that the stream is taking place in – United Kingdom GMT.

Watching on demand:

Follow the link you receive by email. The show will be ready to watch as soon as you arrive on the Vimeo page (please note: you can only watch from the beginning once the live show has finished).

Each show is available on demand for 14 days after it is broadcast live (apart from Arab Women Are Not Funny which is only available live). Check your order confirmation for the final date and time that you can view each stream.

Can I watch the stream on my laptop, smart phone, or TV?

You can watch from a laptop, smart phone, tablet, or TV.

Follow the link from the device that you would like to watch on.

The device you watch on will need to have a browser (such as Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox)

To watch through your TV, you have a number of options:

Connect a laptop or device using an HDMI cable

Casting from another device to your TV using either:

A Vimeo app is available for some smart TVs:

  • Apple TV (4th generation and 5th generation/4K models running tvOS). Search for “Vimeo” in the App Store
  • Android TV devices (such as NVidia Shield TV, Sony TVs, Xiaomi Mi Box. Search for “Vimeo” in the Google Play Store
  • Amazon Fire TV devices. Search for “Vimeo” on the Amazon Fire TV device, or visit the app listing here.
  • Universal Windows Platform (Xbox)
  • Tizen TV

Whatever device you will be viewing on, if it is the first time you have streamed from Vimeo, we recommend doing a test view in advance of the broadcast. Please go to this link and try viewing it on your chosen device.
