This Autumn, we’re launching some fantastic new ways to get involved at Grand Junction. Sara Peskett, Volunteer Manager, tells us why volunteering is something for everyone.
‘At Grand Junction we’re passionate about local people making their mark and supporting our community space to thrive. Which is why we’re so excited about our new opportunities to get involved and help Grand Junction to grow!
What’s really important to us is that everyone feels that our community hub is a space for them, so there’s no need to have any previous experience or be able to commit to a specific time. We’re just looking for enthusiasm and an interest in trying something new!
Volunteering is a great way to meet your neighbours and make new friends (we’re a very welcoming bunch), develop new skills, gain hands-on experience, and make a difference in your community. There’s a range of roles to choose from, so whether you love talking to people, enjoy going to gigs, are fascinated by the local area, or fancy having a go at delivering some tours of our lovingly restored building, there really is something for everyone.’
