Stories Along the Canal

Explore Paddington’s past, from canals and industry to communities, creativity, and change on this rich, story-filled walking tour.

WHEN:

Wednesday 27 May, 11.00 – 13.00

This walking tour traces Paddington’s transformation from rural farmland and early routeways into a hub of canals, industry, and modern urban life. Along the way, it explores the people who built and shaped the area, from canal workers and diverse communities to contemporary creatives. The journey reveals layers of social history, resilience, and community spirit woven through the neighbourhood.

Our tour begins at the cafe at Grand Junction at St Mary Magdalen’s church and finishes in Meanwhile Gardens, Kensal Road, W10 5BN.

Wednesday 27 May, 11.00 – 13.00

And if you have time after the tour, why not finish your visit with a relaxing coffee or delicious lunch in our canal-side café?
