Attab Haddad Ensemble

Fri 25 June, 20:00

Arts Canteen presents Flamenco Arabe:  world-class Attab Haddad and his Ensemble create story-like compositions with the breadth of the Sahara and the intricacy of the Alhambra Palace.

Drawing on roots in both Middle Eastern music and Flamenco, the vibrant ensemble plays original fresh compositions laced with contemporary jazz and classical flavours to create a sound that is unique to the band – a group which is made up of some of the UK’s finest musicians in their respective fields.

Iraqi oud aficionado Attab Haddad is joined by one of Europe’s most established flamenco guitarists Ramón Ruíz, and some of the UK’s finest musicians in their respective fields, alongside flamenco dancer, Lourdes Fernandez Menayo, who will bring the emotion, drama and passion of flamenco to the stage.

“A virtuoso.”
