TO THE TABLE
Clay Miniatures
Over the past two years, we have invited local residents to join us at Grand Junction for To The Table, a free food-sharing and storytelling event, to bring the different communities together and encourage cultural exchange. We served traditional Middle Eastern food and engaged attendees in activities that encouraged them to meet, listen to, and share stories with their neighbours.
At the To The Table event on Tuesday 24 October 2023, visual artist and facilitator Ala Alsaraji led a clay-making session where attendees were encouraged to sculpt clay models that reminded them of home and share the stories behind their creations with one another. The resulting pieces, inspired by the diverse cultures and heritage of our wonderful community.

في فعالية إلى المائدة يوم الثلاثاء 24 أكتوبر 2023، قادت الفنانة البصرية والميسرة آلاء السراجي جلسة لصنع الفخار، حيث شُجّع الحاضرون على نحت نماذج طينية تذكرهم بالوطن ومشاركة القصص من خلال إبداعاتهم مع بعضهم البعض. تعرض القطع الناتجة الثقافات والتراث المتنوع لمجتمعنا الرائع

Jebena and Finjal
