The acclaimed pioneer of Asian Electronica takes to the stage for an exclusive premiere of a new, must-see solo performance.

Celebrated for breaking musical convention with his innovative fusion of Indian classical music and drum ‘n’ bass, percussionist and composer Talvin Singh OBE has more recently turned his attention to the Surbahar. A rare instrument sometimes known as a Bass Sitar, the Surbahar is believed to have special healing properties and is closely associated with the Hindustani classical music of the Indian subcontinent.

As part of Comfort and Courage, Grand Junction is delighted to premiere Music for Healing by Talvin Singh – a rare opportunity to see the musician play this intriguing instrument live, as he delves deeper into his music and sound work of the past two decades. Opening with Gong Therapy, Talvin will also be joined by a guest musician playing a Tabla Solo.
