You Are Here Heritage Events: For Sudan

On 10 June 2025, we welcomed a vibrant cross-section of the Sudanese community to the first heritage event in our You Are Here project series, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The evening was co-curated by leading Sudanese artists Waleed Elgadi and Yassmin Abdel-Magied, and was part of Shubbak Festival 2025, the evening brought together powerful performances, artistic expression, and moments of reflection on Sudan’s rich cultural heritage.
