Westminster Unites: Evening

An evening of dance, music, and fashion, celebrating the cultures and communities of Westminster.

Harmony in Diversity CIC is collaborating with Grand Junction and Westminster City Council to present a beautiful one-off show that brings together music and dance performances from local Westminster performers and international artists, an exhibition and food.

The evening features performances from Albania to Sudan (via the Swinging Sixties), with an eclectic mix of opera, flamenco, music hall songs and even a little bit of magic. Joining the line up:

Internationally acclaimed performers Beibei Wang and Mr Ozgen

Westminster-based community groups St James’s Piccadilly Choir and the Kosovar Albanian Youth Folk Dancing group

Event timings:

6.30pm – Doors open & food served
We will be serving free food from around the world before the performance begins. Please arrive at 6.30pm, so you don’t miss out.

7.15pm – Performances start

Celebrate your heritage by wearing a traditional dress. It will be a night full of surprises – we can’t wait to meet you there!

This is a free event, but booking is required.

Who is the event for?

Everyone who lives and works in Westminster is warmly invited to attend. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

What can we expect?

You can expect an evening of live music, dances, delicious food will be served, and a chance to see the Westminster Unites exhibition at the start and in the interval. The full line up is being finalised and will be announced very soon.

Can I bring children?

While the event is not specifically for children and young people, they are welcome to attend and enjoy the performances. Please note that there will not be additional activities for children, so it may not be suitable for very young children. If you want something for your younger children, come along in the afternoon between 3.30-6.00pm when there will be art activities, plus tea and cake.

Harmony in Diversity CIC: Harmony in Diversity CIC creates dance workshops and seminars to improve self confidence by highlighting diversity, social inclusion, and self expression to create better physical and mental wellbeing through art and creativity.

Grand Junction: Managed by North Westminster charity Paddington Development Trust, Grand Junction is a venue for community, art, and heritage based in Westbourne. We opened in 2019 and run weekly classes for adults and young people, as well as concerts, tours, exhibitions, and more.
