At this special concert conducted by David Hill, over 100 children will join The Bach Choir and instrumentalists from the Royal Academy of Music for an adventure featuring songs old and new.
First, we’ll stop off to sample the eccentric delights of Spike Milligan’s Sixteen Silly Songs such as The Land of the Bumbly Boo (where you can buy lemon pie at the Zoo) before delving into the world of Ian Assersohn’s tremendous telling of The Pied Piper of Hamelin – just watch out for rats on the journey! Finally, we will explore a collection of British folk songs from John Rutter’s A Sprig of Thyme.
