Come and celebrate midsummer with a rowdy, joyous ceilidh. With the nights at their shortest we’ll come together to mark the season in a night of music, merriment and wild abandon! Midsummer has always been a community celebration, bringing people together to feast, dance, and share in the joy of the solstice.

Bring your friends, bring your squeeze, bring your granny, and don’t forget your dancing shoes. The Nest Collective’s very own house band, the Ceilidh Liberation Front, will provide the soundtrack. The Ceilidh Liberation Front subvert the lore of Ceilidh with their energetic folk dance regime. They breathe vigour and vitality into the traditional ceilidh, whilst honouring its roots and traditions.

All are welcome at this event – groups, pairs or solo bookings. Join us this June for a celebration like no other!

Dress code: We have a strict no-heels policy for this event. Other than that there is no strict dress code.

Venue: Grand Junction is a new mult-arts venue and community hub based at St Mary Magdalene Church. Our mission is to create and present an eclectic, collaborative programme of music, arts and performance for young people, families and adults. We also have a café serving delicious food overlooking the canal.
