The Arab British Centre, Arts Canteen and Shubbak Festival invite you to join us for an evening of community, solidarity, and reflection in support of Gaza, Lebanon, and Sudan, raising money for urgent humanitarian aid through the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
A message from the organisers “The past year has been devastating. We mourn the thousands of lives that have been lost as we witness with horror the continued escalations in violence across Palestine, Sudan, Lebanon and the wider Arab region.
Language has become inadequate to express our anguish and our grief, and so we lean on the power of art and community to support and re-energise us as we navigate these dark times. We come together to seek solace and strength in unity.
Join us at Grand Junction for an evening of performance, music, spoken word, food and stalls in solidarity with Palestine, Sudan and Lebanon. Profits raised from ticket sales will be donated to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.”
Before the event there will be a facilitated quiet reflection for those seeking a healing space. Should you wish to take part, please arrive at 7pm and make your way to the crypt.
