GRAND JUNCTION SUMMER APPEAL

Raised: 15.57%
Goal: £25,000.00
HELP US TO RAISE £25,000 TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMME RUNNING

“Every community should have its Grand Junction” - British Theatre Guide

We need your support to raise £25,000 by the end of August to keep Grand Junction’s doors open and continue running our much-needed community classes and activities for local adults and children.

DONATIONS
  • WHY DONATE

Since opening our doors in 2019, Grand Junction has become a vibrant arts and community venue, welcoming 25,000 visitors a year for our classes, youth clubs, concerts, tours, and community festivals. We are incredibly proud that our programmes bring people together, across the generations and across the diversity of our neighbourhood.

“I’ve discovered this amazing space. I’ve learned so much about the local community and I feel as if I’ve made some friends as well, which is lovely” – Grand Junction Volunteer.

At Grand Junction we create spaces for learning new skills, being creative, building confidence, making friends, and connecting with others from the community. For many Grand Junction has become a safe and welcoming space. Each week nearly 300 participants attend up to 20 activities.

“These sessions built confidence for us so that we can speak in front of people…Honestly, you can’t imagine. It’s really released me!” – Participant in Olive Jar, Community theatre show

All of this happens at the amazing Grade I Listed St Mary Magdalene Church, designed by G.E. Street, and noted for its extraordinary painted ceiling and exquisite stained glass. Our community and cultural events ensure that this heritage can be enjoyed by everyone.

Grand Junction is run by local charity Paddington Development Trust, who have been delivering services for the community since 1998.

    OUR CURRENT CHALLENGES

Right now, like many other charities, we are feeling the pressure of funding cuts and rising costs, making it harder to sustain our free and low-cost classes and art projects. We need to raise £25,000 to keep our community programmes running from September.

Being based in a historic Grade 1 listed building is a privilege, but it also has a large price tag.

Any donation you make will go towards keeping the doors open for everyone, and our activities accessible to all. Without your vital support, we risk having to cut the activities that many in the local community have come to rely on.

Your donation, whatever the size, will support local people to thrive. Join us to help reach our £25,000 target!

    THE CLOCK IS TICKING...

We need to raise £25,000 by the end of August, before the new classes can begin in September.

Donate to the Grand Junction Summer Appeal today and help us to secure the future of our venue for all to enjoy.

    Thank you!

We are grateful for your generous support, helping to keep Grand Junction open and accessible for everyone to enjoy.
